How to care for your Bonsai:

Juniper Bonsai [Juniperus]

Juniper Bonsai Care Guide
💧 Watering:
Keep the soil consistently moist but not soggy. Water thoroughly using about 1 to 2 cups of water per session (depending on pot size), ensuring the water soaks the soil deeply and drains out the bottom.
Use a gentle spray to avoid disturbing the soil. In hot weather, watering once or twice a day may be necessary.
Check the soil regularly and water when the top inch feels dry.

☀ïļ Sunlight & Temperature:
Junipers thrive with 4–6 hours of filtered natural sunlight each day. While they can tolerate full sun, avoid the hottest midday rays to prevent drying out.
These trees are hardy in a range of climates, from hot summers to cold winters.
Their foliage may darken during winter but will remain green year-round due to their evergreen nature.

ðŸŠī Repotting:
Repot your juniper every 2–3 years during spring or fall for best results. When repotting, trim back older roots to encourage healthy new growth.
After repotting, keep your bonsai in a shaded area for 2–3 weeks to allow it to recover before returning it to direct or filtered sunlight.

ðŸŒŋ Outdoor Care:
Junipers grow best outdoors where they get fresh air and natural light. In regions with extreme heat, we recommend placing your bonsai outside overnight and in the early morning to benefit from cooler temperatures and fresh air.
During the hottest parts of the day, bring your tree indoors or into a shaded area to protect it from heat stress and drying out.
In winter, protect your bonsai from freezing temperatures by moving it to a sheltered spot as needed.

ðŸŒą Soil & Fertilizing:
Use a well-draining bonsai soil mix such as akadama, pumice, lava rock, and fine fir bark to promote healthy roots. Fertilize your tree monthly with a bonsai-specific fertilizer, applying less during the winter months.
Be careful not to over-fertilize, as this can cause leaf burn or encourage weak, leggy growth.
